Question by asthrnbelle60045: How much is a Car transmission used or rebuilt for a 2000 ford taurus?
My 23 yr old just needs it to run for 2 more years of school and is working while home from college. to help pay for this…He’s a demo guy for Titleist and Cobra golf equipment and has to travel 4 to 5 days a week in the Chicago land area. His car still runs but he thinks its going out. We spent 1500.00 last summer on new parts and service, now he needs tires and a transmission to get him through a hard working summer and college. Thanks for any answers..A MOM

Your description would be impossible to determine as the golf ball would continue to bounce exponentially forever. The resulting distances of each recurring bounce could not be measured due to its minimalism. We stuck with our original extrapolation and concluded that the golf ball would continue its momentum indefinitely.

But, your exact description was tested (as an experiment) on a golf fairway being where such a ball was designed to be used, and we started at the exact height measurement you gave in your question. 81 inches. Different ground conditions would produce different results but in your case, here are the following results from our fairway experiment.
first bounce= 55.2 inches
second bounce= 35.6 inches
third bounce= 13.2 inches
forth and final bounce = 3.1 inches
The final bounce was its last and came to rest on the grass.
Total distance was exactly 132.0 inches (+ or – .06 inches) under those conditions.

Interesting question and test results.

Warren
